Sobre:

Nikki Gour completou a sua Licenciatura em Belas Artes no Faculdade de Arte e Design em 2006. Como artista, teve a oportunidade de criar obras para o Centro de Ciências de Calgary, e para o Leilão do Jardim de Caridade do Centro, onde ela ganhou o prémio de melhor design geral. Tendo passado algum tempo como Artista visitante pelo Estado de Alberta, ela começou a trabalhar com a Associação de Professores de Alberta em 2008.

Artigos sobre suas exposições são publicados na Stephen Magazine, no Calgary Journal e no Peace River Record Gazette. Ela se tornou uma artista líder na sua comunidade, trabalhando com o "Boys and Girls Club", a "Bowness Community Association" e a "Urban Youth Worx", criando grandes murais esculturais. Seus talentos variam em uma ampla gama de pinturas e esculturas de técnica mista com objectos e materiais para atingir suas ideias.

Nikki expôs seus trabalhos em várias galerias em Alberta, incluindo "Art Central", "Endeavor Arts Gallery" e "Fairview Fine Arts Gallery". Vários de seus trabalhos foram doados para diferentes eventos de angariação de fundos em Alberta para ajudar causas importantes.

Ela criou várias peças comissionadas, públicas e privadas, e continua a trabalhar para o desenvolvimento de sua práctica, criando pinturas em vidro e esculturas em metal. Actualmente ela está trabalhando com o conceito de reflexo e sombra para criar uma dimensão totalmente nova. O foco principal de seu trabalho é deixar o material se transformar em uma nova forma, dando-lhe um novo significado. Gour tem a intenção de continuar exibindo e vendendo seu trabalho no Canadá e Internacionalmente.
